It was a last minute decision, somewhere we never planned on going, not because it’s not good but because I wouldn’t really want European food in NYC, since I just came from Europe! :)

So we went to Fig & Olive’s Meatpacking location, what a nice surprise when I got there! The restaurant was spacious with very high ceilings. The bar area feels like a good place to relax with a glass of martini. The decor is modern and cozy, overall a very pleasant vibe. The service was good too, the funny waiter who made jokes was very attentive!

The dishes we ordered were fresh, of good quality, and the taste was decent also. I like the bread and olives they served in the beginning, that was a good idea. Overall in my opinion, Fig & Olive is a pleasant place to go to because of the ambiance, service and good quality food. But I wouldn’t call the food amazing or anything special.

  1. The Fat Bulldog

one of my favourite places in meat packing

  2. The Chubby Orangutan

The scallop (last picture) looks like a sad face! I wonder if the Hungry Giraffe did that herself!?
