The Ossiano Restaurant’s decor in the Atlantis Palm Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai is magnificent. All the seats in this establishment give you perfect views of the Atlantis’ Ambassador Lagoon, which houses roughly 65,000 marine animals. This was the first establishment that the late great three Michelin-starred Chef Santi Santamaria took on outside of Spain. Currently the up-and-coming Chef Wesley Berghoff, the winner of Time Out Award for “Best Young Chef of the Year 2011″, heads the restaurant now.

I order the “Ossiano Experience” menu to basically get the full… experience. (get it?) The service at Ossiano is impeccable and very attentive in a good way. The waiters’ cheesy silver shiny jackets remind me of the movie “The Night at the Roxbury”, all we need is a disco ball and some music by Haddaway and we are set.

I began the “Ossiano Experience”, over the course of the night, I receive an assortment of different soups, salads, seafood, meats, cheeses, and desserts, however nothing on the menu left an impression on my taste buds. The food is boring but acceptable at best. Viewing the tranquility of the colorful fishes swimming around should take your mind off the food and hopefully the bill. However, for the price I paid, the quality of the meal did not live up to expectations.

I would suggest you to go to Ossiano and order something from the à la carte menu. (share if needed) Because this is one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world and I think everyone should experience it at least once, but the food is really not worth spending a fortune for.
